Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec) Exercise 2023 for Secondary 1
The DSA-Sec and Secondary 1 (S1) Posting are the two modes of admission to Secondary Schools. The DSA-Sec allows students to seek admission to S1 based on their achievements and talents.

Admission Criteria
Prior experience in related CCAs and / or participation in any relevant school-based or non-school based awards / activities / competitions / performances will be helpful to the applicants.
Shortlisted applicants will be assessed on both their demonstrated and potential abilities and qualities, through interviews and auditions / trials.

Please note that meeting all the above criteria does not guarantee that the applicant will be shortlisted or given an offer.
Application Process
Starting from the 2023 P6 cohort, students will be posted through Posting Groups 1, 2 and 3 under Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB). This allows them greater flexibility to offer subjects at appropriate subject levels.
Application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal: https://go.gov.sg/apply-dsa-sec
DSA-Sec application is free-of charge and will be opened from 11am on Thursday, 4 May 2023 to 3pm on Wednesday, 31 May 2023.
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA-Sec are expected to honour their commitment to the school and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected from Secondary 1 to 4.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of
- Interviews and
- Auditions / Trials / Performance Tasks
Applicants will be notified via email to attend the interviews and auditions / trials / performance tasks between June to September 2023.
If successful, selected applicants will receive the DSA-Sec offer directly from Jurongville by mid-September 2023.
