About

The Angklung and Kulintang Ensemble seeks to cultivate a strong appreciation for music while promoting the preservation of Southeast Asia’s rich cultural heritage. Through learning and performing on the traditional instruments of the Angklung and Kulintang, members develop technical proficiency, musical expression, and a deeper understanding and appreciation of our cultural and musical traditions.

During CCA sessions, students receive systematic training in instrumental techniques while developing a strong foundation in music theory. Beyond musical development, the ensemble nurtures important values such as discipline, perseverance, patience, and teamwork, empowering members to grow into confident, resilient, and well-rounded performers.

Our members have had the privilege of showcasing their talents at prestigious platforms such as the Istana Open House during Chinese New Year and community events like the ‘Gema Aidilfitri D’ at Ayer Rajah Community Club in 2026. These opportunities not only provide invaluable performance experience but also allow our students to share the beauty of traditional music with wider audiences, keeping alive the vibrant spirit of Asian heritage.
